Assistant Professor and Core Faculty Member  , New York Genome Center

Chenxu Zhu, PhD, is a Core Faculty Member at the New York Genome Center. He holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Systems and Computational Biomedicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. His research is focused on the development and application of innovative single-cell multiomics tools to investigate the crosstalk between different molecular modalities within cells and aims to provide a deeper understanding of how genome and epigenome instabilities affect gene regulation throughout development, aging, and in various diseases.

Dr. Zhu joined the NYGC from the San Diego branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, where he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Bing Ren’s Laboratory of Gene Regulation. He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking University in 2017.
