D. Corella, is Full Professor of Preventive Medicine and Genomics at the School of Medicine at the University of Valencia and principal investigator of the CIBER Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition. She has been working on the integration of genomics into the traditional epidemiological research of cardiometabolic diseases. Among the different environmental factors, she focused on the study of gene-diet interactions, contributing to the development of Nutritional Genomics. She is currently focusing her research on the integration of different omics (genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, exposomics, metabolomics) in the prevention and treatment of obesity, cardiovascular diseases and accelerated aging.
