Emre Arslan
Emre Arslan is an Associate Director in Takeda’s Oncology Therapeutic Area Unit and a senior AI engineer with a PhD in Computer Engineering and 10+ years of experience applying machine learning to multiscale biology from epigenomics and single-cell to spatial multiomics and clinical outcomes.
He develops models spanning Bayesian methods to deep learning and builds scalable, cloud-native pipelines on AWS/HPC to enable reproducible analysis and reporting. Emre partners closely with translational and clinical teams to interpret complex datasets and leads cross-functional programs that integrate bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and digital pathology to support clinical decision-making.
Previously, he was a Principal Research Scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he led large-scale single-cell analyses and biomarker discovery efforts across multiple cancer types.
