Giovanni Gambi
Throughout the experiences at different world-renowned institutions, Dr. Gambi has developed a central research interest in studying molecular biology of cancer cells, trying to understand which deregulated mechanisms drive oncogenesis and drug response. In particular, Dr. Gambi focused on gene expression regulation, encompassing a number of diverse research areas: from epigenetic regulation by transcription factors and chromatin remodelers, to the contribution of lncRNAs and more recently dissection of 3D architecture of pediatric leukemia.
His expertise embraces cellular and molecular biology methods, genomics and the computational tools required for their readouts. In parallel, he developed strong independence in handling animal models and primary patients’ samples.
