Huilei Xu is a data scientist and Team Lead for Cardiovascular and Metabolism translational data science at Novartis Biomedical Research. In her currently role, Huilei is primarily responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of advanced data analytics to drive innovation of drug development and enhance clinical trial design and decision making processes. Before joining Novartis, Huilei completed her PhD at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, where she specialized in applying systems biology and machine learning approach to study the pluripotency network of embryonic stem cells. Huilei previously worked at Qiagen, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals and Genocea biosciences, focused on Bioinformatics algorithms development, siRNA design and NGS data analysis.
