Kristin Beaumont is a multidisciplinary scientist with over 10 years of research experience, specializing in single-cell analysis, spatial transcriptomics, and chemical engineering. With a robust background in life sciences, Kristin has pioneered the development of innovative in vitro single-cell assays to address both basic research and drug discovery challenges. She is known for her expertise in bridging academia and industry, successfully managing and facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations to drive cutting-edge scientific advancements. Currently, Kristin serves as the Assistant Director of Single Cell Genomics Technology Development at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she leads and develops novel single-cell and spatial genomic research initiatives. Her work spans several novel technologies, collaborating with both internal and external teams across oncology, immunology, virology, and reproductive science. Additionally, Kristin is an Assistant Professor, focusing her research on understanding tumor heterogeneity and its role in the progression of metastatic diseases, particularly in ovarian and endometrial cancer. Kristin’s expertise spans cancer metastasis, cell migration, chemical biology, and nanotechnology. She has developed and directed the creation of phenotypic assays and informatic approaches to better understand disease mechanisms and enhance drug discovery. Kristin is skilled in advanced cellular imaging techniques, high-throughput assays, and protein characterization. With strong leadership skills and an excellent ability to foster collaboration, she has successfully led numerous projects, driving scientific innovation and advancing the field of cancer research.
