Mary Piper

Senior Principal Computational Biologist, Pfizer
Mary Piper is a Senior Principal Computational Biologist at Pfizer, where her research focuses on the use of omics to inform and prioritize potential disease targets and indication selection in cardiovascular disease. Originally trained as a virologist, she transitioned from wet lab research to computational biology upon joining the Harvard Chan Bioinformatics Core. As Associate Director of Training, she developed and led workshops on genomic data analysis, shaping the curriculum and mentoring researchers across career stages. In 2021, she pivoted to pursue translational research at Pfizer. Her career bridges experimental and computational approaches to address complex questions across health and disease.
