Paul Frere
Paul holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Toronto and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Harvard University. He began his career at the Broad Institute, spending seven years on the Genomics Platform contributing to Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and assay development projects.
Paul then transitioned to PerkinElmer as an Automation Field Application Scientist, specializing in NGS application development before advancing to Manager of the Applications Development Team.
In 2019, Paul joined Twist Bioscience as Field Application Scientist Manager (Americas), supporting customers across Twist's target enrichment product portfolio. In 2025, he moved into the role of Director of Commercial Development, where he focuses on driving adoption of new products and technologies.
