Virginia Savova
Virginia Savova is Head of Cell-targeted Precision Medicine, Oncology Data Science and AI at AstraZeneca, where she leads multidisciplinary teams applying single-cell genomics and advanced analytics to accelerate target discovery, biomarker development, and translational decision-making. She is a senior leader shaping AstraZeneca’s AI strategy for precision oncology and cell-targeted therapies, partnering closely across computational pathology and translational development.
Previously, she served as Senior Director and Global Head of Single-cell Biology at Sanofi, advancing data-driven target and biomarker discovery across immune, neuroimmune, and rare disease programs, including contributions that supported targets progressing to Phase I. Her earlier work spans Dana-Farber, Harvard Medical School, and MIT/Broad, with a strong publication record at the intersection of computational biology, immunology, and cancer research.
