Yang Song, Ph.D., is an Associate Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca with 10 years of industry experience building end-to-end NGS platforms across Illumina, Element, ONT, and PacBio. He established AZ’s NGS capability, supporting 300+ projects in antibody development and target discovery covering a wide variety of therapeutic areas.
He also developed bespoke assays, and implemented automation and high-throughput long-read sequencing. He earned his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Univ of California Riverside and did his postdoctoral work in antibody engineering in Univ of Pennsylvania.
