Yohann Potier, PhD, is the Senior Director of Data Engineering and Informatics at Tessera Therapeutics, a genetic medicine company pioneering Gene Writing, an emerging genome engineering technology designed to write therapeutic messages into the genome to treat disease at its source. Yohann leads the teams that power Tessera’s R&D data foundation, spanning lab system integration, data modeling, and scalable computational environments that enable reliable analysis and decision-making. 
Yohann studied Biotechnology and Computer Science in France and earned a PhD in Computational Chemistry from the University of Zurich, Switzerland. Since then, he has built enterprise data architectures and scientific software platforms across pharma and biotech R&D, with a focus on turning experimental data into reliable, reusable assets for discovery and development. His work includes integrating laboratory instruments and digital lab systems (LIMS/ELN and automation platforms), designing canonical data models, and building modular pipelines that make scientific data traceable, standardized, and reproducible, supporting advanced analytics as well as broader computational and machine learning research needs.
