Bacteria, Bugs & Big Data Stage
  • Traditional tools rely on taxonomic diversity and richness, but these approaches fail to capture the complexity of the microbiome.

  • Our new index shifts from taxonomy-based classification to functional analysis, integrating inter-species interactions and functional information to better distinguish healthy vs. diseased states.

  • Demonstrated robustness across cohorts a variety of cohorts and diseases including IBD, colorectal cancer and type 2 diabetes, it is freely available for broad research.
