  • Genomics England is running a pilot study of up to 150,000 participants recruited from the general population to assess delivery approaches and health benefits from population level genomic screening. 

  • The potential uses of genomics driving this will include pre-emptive pharmacogenomics, and common and rare disease risk prediction. 

  • The NHS 10 year plan predicts that by 2035 up to half of all medical interactions will involve genomics
