From the ground level up, Sira has been hands-on with knowledge management practice from her training in biomedical ontology development and application for translational medicines at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, to regulatory affair exposure at the Office of Clinical Pharmacology, FDA. She later expanded into bioinformatics data infrastructure & services as an Experimental Factor Ontology lead developer at EMBL-EBI Sample, Phenotype, and Ontology Team. Prior to joining Boehringer Ingelheim IT Research, Development & Medicine team, she coordinated European bioinformatics data interoperability policy and technical framework at ELIXIR. Sira is now an IT lead business consultant and capability lead for Global Omics Data Management and CompBio Data Service product at Boehringer.
