As an academic clinician I spend part of my time seeing patients and the rest of my time conducting research at the University. My specialist interests are gastroenterology and cancer and my research is carried out within Cambridge Department of Medical Genetics (Nik-Zainal lab) and Cambridge Stem Cell Institute (Zilbauer Lab). My areas of research include stem cell biology, organoids, cancer predisposition, mutational signatures, ageing, gastrointestinal disease and hepatology.
