Jo is the Midwifery Lead role for the East Genomic Medicine Service Alliance (GMSA). This role aims to assist with up-skilling nurses and midwives in genomics. Jo has worked autonomously across all areas of maternity for over 18 years in the UK and overseas. She has a particular interest in fetal medicine, screening, and genomics, previously working as a specialist Midwife for non-invasive prenatal screening at St George’s University Hospitals NHS FT and completing and MSc in Genomic Medicine. Jo has collaborated on a journal, sat on steering groups for education and training and been involved in several projects, including the development of massive open online courses and clinical pathway initiatives, to support genomics in practice.
