Rebecca Oakey
Professor of Epigenetics
King's College London

Rebecca undertook her D.Phil. in the Biochemistry Department at the University of Oxford before moving to Duke University and the University of Pennsylvania for post-doctoral training before establishing her research group at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Rebecca is now based in the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at King's College London as Professor of Epigenetics. Her research interests focus on understanding aspects of gene regulation in normal development and in human disease. Her current research program utilizes a combination of molecular genetics with transcriptomic and epigenomic data analysis approaches in mammalian development and differentiation, in rare diseases and in cancer.
