Dr Katya Mokretar is the Deputy Operations Lead at Synnovis/SouthEast Genomic Laboratory Hub, where she leads the AML MRD team. Katya began her career in research and, after completing her postdoctoral studies, transitioned to diagnostic laboratories, where she has spent the last 10 years gaining expertise in both haematological and solid tumour testing. Over the course of her career, she has overseen the implementation of several Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) tests in diagnostic settings. As part of her HSST studies, Dr Mokretar successfully implemented the OncoDEEP comprehensive genomic panel (CGP) for solid tumour testing, starting with the HRD component and expanding to a full-panel solution for comprehensive genomic profiling.
