Lucas Pavlou is a HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist focused on enhancing genomic testing for better patient outcomes. Lucas graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BSc in Medical Genetics and an MSc in Human and Molecular Genetics, then launched his career as a molecular diagnostics lab technician at the Royal Marsden Hospital. In September 2024, he completed the NHS Scientific Training Programme at Guy’s Hospital and achieved HCPC registration in October 2024.

During training Lucas worked extensively on implementing the OncoDEEP Comprehensive Genomic Profiling assay as the large solid tumour panel at Guy's Hospital, primarily to address a need to establish an in-house Homologous Recombination Deficiency test but also to prepare for further developments to the testing landscape. Lucas is passionate about integrating innovative techniques into laboratory workflows to deliver impactful treatment recommendations to more patients as a result of streamlined workflows and improved workforce efficiency.
