Sarah Bastkowski
Senior Research Scientist
Quadram Institute
Dr. Sarah Bastkowski is a multi-disciplinary scientist with expertise in computing, bioinformatics, and mathematics. She focuses on the development of advanced methods for analysing bacterial transposon mutagenesis experiments with the aim to better understand adaptation to stresses as well as mechanisms of antibiotic resistance and tolerance. Dr. Bastkowski holds a Ph.D. in phylogenetics, during which she developed algorithms for constructing evolutionary networks, and a diploma in biomathematics, blending mathematics, molecular biology, and computational approaches.
