Dr. Sara Badodi is a Senior Lecturer in Paediatric Brain Tumour Epigenetics at the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. She holds a PhD in Molecular and Regenerative Medicine from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, where her research focused on childhood rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare muscle-originating tumour. Following her PhD, Dr Badodi joined the Centre for Genomics and Child Health at Queen Mary University as part of Prof. Silvia Marino’s research group. As a postdoctoral fellow, she investigated the role of epigenetic modifications in medulloblastoma, the most common malignant brain tumour in children. Her work has shed new light on how epigenetic changes drive tumour development. Dr. Badodi is currently continuing to explore the complex epigenetic landscape of paediatric brain tumours, to uncover novel therapeutic approaches.
