Prof. Dr. Michael Schroeder is a professor in bioinformatics at TU Dresden since 2003. He served as director of the Center for Molecular and Cellular Bio-Engineering of TU Dresden. He develops machine learning algorithms exploiting large protein structure and sequence data to improve diagnosis and treatment in cancer and infectious diseases. He has published over 200 papers in the area and co-founded three companies.
