Dr Basel Abu-Jamous is the Director of Computational Biology at Nucleome Therapeutics (Oxford, UK), a co-founder and a Scientific Advisor at Bionl.ai (Boston, US), and a Bioinformatics Advisory Consultant at the Kingdom Health University & Hospital (Amman, Jordan). As a solo scientist & engineer or as a builder & leader of effective teams & products in the biotech and techbio industries, Basel’s passion lies at the bleeding edge of informatics in biology & precision medicine (bioinformatics, computational biology, machine learning, AI, and data science). Basel innovates in building biotech platforms that explore complex disease genetics for drug discovery, diagnostics, and precision medicine. Previous research spanned areas including the analysis of real-world evidence data for patient stratification, gene discovery in crop photosynthesis, the exploration of erythropoiesis genetics in humans, and the identification of transcriptomic signatures in oncology.
