Aditi Vedi

Aditi is a Consultant Paediatric Oncologist and Clinical Trialist, treating children with a range of childhood malignancies, with a special interest in leukaemia and neuroblastoma. She is the National Institute for Health and Care Research, Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN) lead for paediatric oncology for the East of England; paediatric lead of the Cambridge Experimental Cancer Medicines Centre (ECMC); and Cambridge lead for the Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer (ITCC) consortium.

She also leads a number of clinical trials locally and nationally, and represents Cambridge on national panels including the Novel Agents Group, Leukaemia Sub Group and Neuroblastoma Special Interest Group, which are responsible for clinical trials and improving treatments for childhood cancer in these special interest areas. She is also a member of the national VIVO Biobank Sample and Data Access committee that regulates access to this precious national resource.

Academically, she leads a number of translational research projects, including a novel combination to induce differentiation in neuroblastoma and expediting whole genome sequencing results for childhood cancer, amongst others. She is also the lead examiner for paediatric clinical examinations for the University of Cambridge, School of Clinical Medicine.
