
Adnan Taib
Adnan is a Research Fellow and PhD student in AI for medical imaging at the University of Nottingham, working with the Digital Cancer Screening Group. His research focuses on external quality assurance of human and AI performance in cancer screening, particularly breast and lung cancer, and he leads on work with NHS England on PERFECTS—the world’s first digital QA scheme for lung cancer screening radiologists.
He has published on AI in mammography, screening adoption barriers, eye-tracking in medical imaging and has been invited to present nationally and internationally.
With a background in surgical training, he is passionate about advancing safe, effective AI integration in healthcare to improve outcomes for patients and professionals. He was awarded a Medical Research Grant as Principal Investigator to develop an AI testing platform in medical imaging.
