Annelise joined Immunocore (formerly Avidex) at its founding in 2000 and has played a central role in the development of the ImmTAX platform, pioneering a novel class of TCR-based therapeutics. She led the protein engineering of the company’s lead programme, which in 2022 became the first TCR-based therapy approved by the FDA and is now marketed internationally. 

As Chief Science & Technology Officer, she currently leads Immunocore's enterprise technology strategy and the continued evolution of the ImmTAX platform to drive scientific innovation and long-term growth. She also serves as Immunocore UK Site Head, overseeing a multidisciplinary organisation of approximately 350 employees, fostering a collaborative and world-class scientific culture, and representing Immunocore within the UK's biotechnology community. 

Annelise is also a Non Executive Director at Advanced Oxford, where she contributes to regional innovation strategy and initiatives that support economic growth. 

Before joining Immunocore, she was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Biochemistry at University College London. She holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from Paris-Sorbonne University and a PhD in Biophysics from École Polytechnique, Saclay, France.
