
Emma Braybrook
Emma Braybrook is a HCPC registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist, Lead Scientist for the Multi-Omics Clinical Research Platform at UHCW and Research and Training Manager for Biochemistry and Immunology within Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Service. Alongside these roles, Emma is currently completing a PhD under the supervision of Professor Grammatopoulos at the University of Warwick and is a member of the research Institute of Precision Diagnostics and Translational Medicine within UHCW R&D.
Her research area of interest is biomarkers of inflammation across both chronic and acute conditions, with particular focus on multiplex platforms and the use of machine learning. A CRN scholarship award has further supported the development of research management skills. Across the last 18 years, she has worked in both in UKAS accredited clinical diagnostic laboratories, but also in research laboratories both in the UK and abroad, spending a period of training at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
