Daniel Seaton

Senior Director, Head of Statistical Genetics, GSK

Daniel Seaton is Senior Director and Head of Statistical Genetics at GSK, where he leads a team within Translational Sciences focused on developing and industrialising computational methods for drug target discovery using human genetic data.

He has extensive experience at the intersection of statistical genetics, computational biology and drug discovery, with a focus on translating genetics and genomics data into mechanistic understanding of disease and actionable insights for drug discovery and clinical development. Prior to his current role, he served as Scientific Director and Scientific Leader in Computational Biology at GSK, following five years as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Edinburgh and almost three years as a Postdoctoral Fellow at EMBL-EBI.
