Prof dr Edwin Cuppen did his PhD at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, a postdoc at the Netherlands Cancer Institute in Amsterdam and held group leader positions at the Hubrecht Insitute and UMC Utrecht, where he still holds a professorship (since 2007) in Human Genetics.
He is currently scientific director at the Hartwig Medical Foundation in Amsterdam, a non-profit organization that he co-founded 10 years ago with the mission to improve cancer diagnostics and care through genomics approaces and precision medicine. Since more than 2 decades he has been pioneering next-generation DNA sequencing technology for biological discovery and patient benefits.
