Jennifer Griffiths joined the Genomics Partnership Wales Sounding Board as a patient in 2024.
Jennifer was born with the rare genetic blood disorder Cyclic Neutropenia, where she loses Neutrophils, the white blood cell that fight infections, every three weeks, which is caused by the ELA2 gene mutation.
Jennifer works as a Communications and Engagement Manager at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, which is the health board she is under Haematology care for to manage her blood disorder.
Jennifer will be sharing her experiences of being involved in the Sounding Board as part of the Power of Listening presentation about patient involvement to shape Genomics in Wales.
