Joachim Tan

Dr Joachim Tan is a Senior Research Fellow with the NIHR Great Ormond Street Hospital Biomedical Research Centre, based at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.
His work focuses on using electronic health records and linked administrative datasets (e.g. ECHILD) to study the health and educational trajectories of children with complex inborn conditions, such as congenital malformations and genetic disorders. He also collaborates with the European network of population-based registries for the epidemiological surveillance of congenital anomalies (EUROCAT) to perform combined analyses of health and medication data from several regions across Europe.
