Dr. Kinga Zielinska is a computational biologist and postdoctoral researcher at the Małopolska Centre of Biotechnology (Jagiellonian University, Cracow). Holding a PhD from the University of Oxford, her current research focuses on the human gut microbiome to understand its impact on health and athletic performance.
She also consults on the analysis of metagenomic data for applications such as faecal microbiota transplants (FMTs) and synthetic consortia design. Her upcoming grant focuses on resolving ambiguities in microbiome studies through strain-level resolution. When not at the computer, she is an avid mountain runner and cyclist
