Head of Clinical Trials, MHRA

Dr Kingyin Lee (BEng, MBBS, PhD) is Head of Clinical Trials at the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). His work focuses on advancing regulation to safely facilitate the development of new, innovative medicines and trial designs.

He joined the MHRA in May 2024, after five years of clinical development as an investigator in early-phase and first-in-human clinical trials. He previously worked as a Clinical Research Physician at Simbec-Orion and as a Plastic Surgery Physician within the NHS. He brings wide experience across clinical research, surgery and regulatory science.

He holds a Certificate in Pharmaceutical Medicine from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine, a PhD in Developmental Biology, and a BEng in Biochemical Engineering.
