I’m a postdoctoral scientist at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, where I also completed my PhD. In my PhD, I developed a method that enables one to take a sample from a donor of any age and infer cell-specific historic methylation state changes, at each CpG site in the genome, up to the zygote. I uncovered massive inter- and intra-individual heterogeneity of somatic methylation and I am now pursuing academic study and translational applications of this work.
Previously, I obtained an MPhil in Computational Biology from the University of Cambridge.
