Loukas Theodosiou is a Senior Data Scientist at KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA in Göttingen, Germany, where he works at the intersection of population genomics, machine learning, and multi-omics integration to identify the genetic basis of complex crop traits. Alongside his research, he has a strong interest in data visualization, developing custom analytical and visualization tools, including several open-source R and Python packages, to make complex genomic and statistical results more accessible and interpretable. 

He teaches genomics and data visualization at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and through Physalia Courses, training researchers to translate high-dimensional biological data into clear, compelling visual narratives. Loukas holds a PhD  from the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Biology and has held research and industry positions spanning evolutionary biology, plant breeding, and biotechnology.
