Marion Hitchcock

Marion Hitchcock is Managing Director of Bayer's Gene & Cell Therapies Incubator Berlin, and R&D Strategy & Portfolio Manager within Bayer Pharmaceuticals. She leads the establishment of Bayer's new gene and cell therapies incubator, helping build a leading biotech innovation hub in Berlin while driving strategic portfolio development across pharmaceutical R&D.

With more than 17 years at Bayer, she has held senior leadership roles spanning R&D transformation, open innovation, strategic alliances and external innovation. Her experience includes leading collaborations with global academic and industry partners, developing innovation ecosystems in Berlin and Cambridge, Massachusetts, and overseeing major research partnerships across therapeutics and enabling technologies.

She is committed to accelerating advanced therapies through cross-sector collaboration, biotech ecosystem development and innovative R&D models that connect academia, start-ups and industry to bring transformative therapies to patients.
