Melina Velasquez

Melina Velasquez is a BioImaging Data Steward at the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI), where she supports the management, sharing, and training ecosystem for the BioImage Archive. With a background as a plant molecular biologist, she specialises in making complex imaging data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). She is a core organiser for the BioImagingUK Data Stewardship team, and previously worked as a data steward at Rothamsted Research. Her work focuses on bridging the gap between advanced imaging technologies and robust data management through community engagement and national training frameworks.
