Nicola Segata is a Professor at the University of Trento, where he directs the Computational Metagenomics Laboratory, comprising about 30 researchers. He pairs basic microbiome research with translational biomedical and nutritional initiatives in collaboration with various international entities. He co-founded PreBiomics and the MVIF dissemination initiative.
