Michela Noseda
Michela Noseda is a Reader in Cardiovascular Science at the National Heart and Lung Institute. Dr Noseda is PI of the international consortium funded by BHF/DZHK aiming to define the molecular and cellular drivers of heart failure, a co-PI in the consortium funded by CZI aiming to build a human heart cell atlas and is a co-lead of the Heart Biological Network within the space of the Human Cell Atlas. Dr Noseda is Theme Lead (Theme 2, Learning from Heart Disease Patients: Molecular and Genetic Determinants of Adverse Remodelling.) and is a member of the the Executive Board of the current BHF Centre of Research Excellence at Imperial renewal bid (2024-2029).
Dr Noseda is also the network lead for Imperial Stem Cell Regenerative Medicine Network. As an expert in multiomic approaches for the assessment of cardiovascular disease, Dr Noseda was a leading member of the interdisciplinary and international teams who assembled the first version of the Human Heart Cell Atlas including 6 anatomical regions and a v2 including 8 sites. Dr Noseda was also co-lead of the paradigm changing study demonstrating that the cellular and molecular architectures that induce heart failure are both shared and distinct across genotypes in dilated cardiomyopathies. Dr Noseda is a strong supporter of team science and open to new collaborations and consultancy.
