Rachel Hart

Rachel Hart is a Consultant in Clinical Genetics and Cancer Lead at the Liverpool Centre for Genomic Medicine. In addition, she is Clinical Lead for a genomics programme at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, and is on the genomic steering group at the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Working alongside local and national programmes in the National Genomic Medicine Service, she is a keen advocate of mainstreaming genomic medicine and delivers regular education sessions for non-genetic healthcare professionals.

As Associate Clinical Director in the North West Genomic Medicine Service, she is co-leading a series of working groups to improve mainstreaming and equity of access to genomic testing for patients across the North West.

A long-standing member of the British Society for Genomic Medicine's Ethics and Policy Group, she also uses her interest in ethics as a member of the local LUHFT/LWH Ethics Advisory Group, and as a Trustee on the board of the Institute of Medical Ethics.
