Rodrigo A. Toledo, PhD, MBA, is a translational cancer researcher and Group Leader of Biomarkers and Clonal Dynamics at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO), Barcelona. His research focuses on developing clinical biomarkers across solid tumors, with particular interests in early phase immunotherapy clnical trials. His group develops and applies circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) assays to study tumor evolution, treatment response, and resistance, with applications in cancer immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and antibody–drug conjugates. He is active in European liquid biopsy initiatives and international collaborations and co-coordinates the CIBERONC Liquid Biopsy Work Module.
