Consultant Neuropathologist & Lead Neuropathologist for Paediatric Neuro-Oncology , King’s College Hospital

Dr Zita Reisz is a Consultant Neuropathologist and Lead Neuropathologist for Paediatric Neuro-Oncology at King’s College Hospital, London. She qualified in medicine at the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical University in Hungary. She then completed specialist training in histopathology in Hungary (in 2018), followed by neuropathology training in the UK. She became a European Fellow in Neuropathology in 2019 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists in 2023. She also completed an MSc in Precision Cancer Medicine at the University of Oxford in 2024, further enhancing her expertise in advanced cancer diagnostics and personalized therapies. 

Dr Reisz has a strong clinical and research interest in paediatric and adult CNS tumours, with a particular focus on the clinico-pathological characterisation of rare and novel tumour types. Her work integrates advanced molecular techniques, including DNA methylation profiling, targeted and whole-genome sequencing, and Oxford Nanopore sequencing, to support precision cancer diagnostics and multidisciplinary clinical decision-making. She contributes to the Genomics Tumour Advisory Board, and collaborates in national and international research.
