Sam Cooper

Sam Cooper is Director of Data Science & Machine Learning at Engitix Therapeutics, where he builds the company's AI/ML capabilities for discovering new therapeutic targets in fibrosis and cancer. His team is putting AI agents into practice across discovery, using them for target identification and prioritisation, and building environments that let scientists use agents in their own workflows.

Before Engitix, he founded Phenomic AI, applying deep learning to single-cell and proteomic data to find new drug targets. He holds a PhD from Imperial College London, has filed eight patents, and has published in Nature Communications, PNAS and Nature Methods.
