Silvia Surinova

Team Lead in Proteomics, University College London

Dr Silvia Surinova is Team Lead in Proteomics at UCL Cancer Institute, where she was recruited in 2013 to establish cutting edge mass spectrometry-based proteomics for cancer research.

She researches and teaches in the area of quantitative proteome and signalling analysis. Her team continuously develops new sample preparation techniques, mass spectrometric approaches and computational workflows with a special focus on low input methods for the phenotypic analysis of rare cancer cells.

As Head of the Proteomics Research Translational Technology Platform, she supports collaborative projects at the Cancer Institute and within the CRUK City of London Centre.

Dr Surinova organises the CRUK City of London Proteomic Seminar Series at the Cancer Institute and, as a committee member of the London Biological Mass Spectrometry Discussion Group, quarterly meetings held in central London locations.
