Dr Stuart Lowe is Head of Advanced Therapies at TTP, where he works with cell and gene therapy developers to address the complex manufacturing challenges that prevent breakthrough therapies progressing from development into clinical and commercial stage. TTP’s Advanced Therapies team specifies, designs, supplies and supports manufacturing unit operations that are purpose-built to translate novel processes into robust, scalable, and commercially viable manufacturing solutions.
His work focuses particularly on solving the technical challenges underlying manufacturing bottlenecks – including elimination of manual handling steps through consumable design and automated hardware, which has helped several of TTP’s customers considerably reduce labour and facility costs.
With over 12 years’ experience in life sciences and regulated product development, Stuart brings an engineering and manufacturability perspective to the panel, with specific insights into how developers can identify manufacturing constraints before they happen, what technology choices are available to them, and how to reduce downstream deployment risk.
