Praveen Surendran is Associate Director of Applied and Statistical Genetics at GSK, where he leads research integrating human genetics and statistical methods to advance drug discovery and development. Before joining GSK in 2021, he spent over eight years at the University of Cambridge, most recently as a Senior Research Associate and Rutherford Fund Fellow at Health Data Research UK, working within the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Unit. Praveen holds a PhD in Cardiovascular Genetics from University College Dublin and has carried out research at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Indian Institute of Science. His expertise spans large-scale genetic analyses, cardiovascular disease, and the application of population-based genomics to precision medicine.
