Associate Principal Scientist, MSD

I am an associate principal scientist at MSD in London, where I lead a computational group within the Data, AI & Genome Sciences department. Our primary focus is leveraging high-throughput multi-omics data and cutting-edge AI/ML approaches to unravel the mechanisms of diseases and identify novel drug targets and biomarkers.

Our work particularly centers on neurodegenerative and other neurological diseases, aiming to drive impactful advancements in therapeutic strategies. I completed my PhD at Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (UK) and Sichuan University (China) and received a degree in Medicine.

Following my PHD, I pursued postdoctoral training at University of Cambridge for five years. During this period, my main research interest was understanding the role of mitochondria in human disease and exploring the interaction between nuclear and mitochondrial genomes through high-throughput sequencing data analysis. Throughout my academic career, I have authored over 40 articles in high impact journals, including first-author publications in Nature and Science.
