Zhihao Ding leads global human genetics and animal health genomics at Boehringer Ingelheim. His teams apply large-scale genomics and AI to enhance the probability of success of drug discovery, including target identification, biomarker discovery, and target safety assessment. Trained as a statistical geneticist, he earned his PhD from the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, University of Cambridge. His research bridges human genetics, data science, and translation to advance discoveries that improve both human and animal health
