Engineering the future for sustainable crops

For the first time ever, the Festival is focussing on Plant Genomics, showcasing the translational power of genomics to improve crop resilience and yield.

The Festival will explore how omics can be leveraged for food security, climate resilience, improved yield and optimising your crops.

Agenda sessions will explore the shared scientific challenges across the field including building and analysing pangenomes, discovering key traits, mapping regulatory networks, and translating basic science into applications in the field.

You’ll hear from researchers, seed companies and technology developers working at the forefront of plant genomics to show how these methods are being applied beyond academia and into commercial breeding programmes.

Don't forget to catch up with new and existing suppliers on the exhibition floor to help you find the best technology and services for your needs.

The Plant Genomics Stage will provide you with:

  • Updates on recent progress in pangenomics, graph‑based genomes and multi‑omics integration.
  • Insights into AI‑enabled approaches for trait discovery, genomic prediction and crop improvement.

  • An overview of functional genomics methods used to identify and engineer key plant traits.

  • Strategies to strengthen crop resilience in the face of climate change and emerging diseases.

  • Examples of how genomics is being applied within commercial breeding programmes.
